Accomplishments

  • Twice nominated for School Board Chair

  • Played a key role in developing and implementing a new Strategic Plan

  • Successfully negotiated two contracts with union partners

  • Elected to the Oregon School Boards Association Board of Directors

  • Represented Oregon in Washington, D.C., advocating for education at the national level

  • Participated in the selection of new district leadership

  • Collaborated with students to develop and pass a climate change resolution

I am pleased to announce my candidacy for re-election to the Tigard-Tualatin School Board. Serving our community over the past four years has been a great honor, and I look forward to continuing to advocate for our students. During my time on the board, I have helped create and strengthen policies that support student safety, contributed to a new strategic plan, and ushered in new district leadership, all while centering student learning, inclusion, and equity. But as always, there is more work to do. In my next term, I am committed to seeing improved academic outcomes for our students, maintaining fiscal responsibility, and fostering stronger community engagement. I look forward to continuing to serve and collaborate with parents, teachers, and community members to support the success of all students.

​Me complace anunciar mi candidatura para la reelección a la Junta Escolar de Tigard-Tualatin. Servir a nuestra comunidad durante los últimos cuatro años ha sido un gran honor y espero seguir defendiendo a nuestros estudiantes. Durante mi tiempo en la junta, ayudé a crear y fortalecer políticas que apoyan la seguridad de los estudiantes, contribuí a un nuevo plan estratégico e inicié un nuevo liderazgo en el distrito, todo mientras centraba el aprendizaje, la inclusión y la equidad de los estudiantes. Pero como siempre, hay más trabajo por hacer. En mi próximo mandato, me comprometo a ver mejores resultados académicos para nuestros estudiantes, mantener la responsabilidad fiscal y fomentar una participación comunitaria más sólida. Espero continuar sirviendo y colaborando con padres, maestros y miembros de la comunidad para apoyar el éxito de todos los estudiantes.
